Idaho online application form enables you to apply to take the Idaho Bar Exam, UBE scores to Idaho, for reciprocal admission in Idaho, for an Idaho House Counsel license.
- The applicant should be eighteen years of age.
- Lawfully admitted to this country.
- Be a good person of good moral character.
- Have demonstrated the essential eligibility requirements to practice law pursuant & have to meet all requirements in the admissions.
Idaho recommends that you draft & save your responses to the online application questions in another program, such as Microsoft Word, then may copy & paste information into the application form.
Finger Print Card
- An examinee must submit a completed fingerprint card supplied by Idaho State Bar.
- Applicants need to contact Belinda Brown to request a fingerprint card be sent to you. That includes your name, address, type of admission, Reciprocal, etc…
- A fingerprint card will be sent to you immediately.
- If your fingerprints are taken more than 90 days, the card will be accepted & you’ll submit a new card.

For the September 2021 bar examination, official certified notices will be sent out on September 15, 2021. Contact Belinda Brown to request an electronic copy of the examination, scores, and grading and writing standards. We will respond to all requests for materials in the order that they are received. If applicants only wish to view these materials, they can make an appointment with Maureen Ryan Braley, Associate Director. She is available to answer your questions by phone or in person.
A Reexamination form and the correct fee must be submitted by the Idaho State Bar no later than November 15, 2021 to sit for the February 2022 examination. Belinda Brown can provide a link to the Reexamination Form if you do not have it. For more information on reexamination, please refer to Idaho Bar Commission Rule 218. Maureen Ryan Braley can help you if you are unable to take the February 2022 exam, but still want to keep your application current.

Totally, the score the combined to determine a passing score of 272. MBE is weighted ½ & written score is weighted ½, with MEE & MPT scores scaled to the MBE (MEE 30% & MPT 20%).
Idaho Bar Exam Scope & Topics
Idaho Bar Exam is a 2-day Uniform Bar Examination (UBE). Day 1 consists of six-minute MEE (Multistate Essay Exam) essay questions in the morning, then two 90 minutes MPT (Multistate Performance Test) questions in the afternoon.
